About Michelle Lane

First and foremost, this is about you.  Buying a home is most likely the biggest investment you will make in your lifetime and your home is your sanctuary from the outside world.  Selling a home has its own stresses.  Moving your life and your memories is not easy. And you may be worried that the house won’t sell.   So what you really need to know about me is – am I going to care as much as you do about the most important transaction of your life?   Can I help you by addressing your fears and concerns?  And am I competent to do the best job possible?

So let me address your concerns.  After a long career in technology, I formally joined the world of real estate to follow a longtime passion of mine.  The history of houses, their part in the community, and how home ownership impacts people’s lives has always fascinated me.  Long before becoming a Realtor, I was buying and selling many homes of my own.  I love what I do and I hope you will see that it shows in how I approach every transaction.

In the corporate world I developed the sales, marketing, and negotiating skills that my clients need to get the best possible outcome from their home sale or purchase.  I am able to leverage the internet to drive strong marketing campaigns for my listings and to analyze data on home sales and the state of the market.

I live in Newton and this is where I sell the most homes, but I have sold homes all around Boston and Metro West.  I have sold as far west as Sudbury, as far south as Foxboro and the Cape and as far north as Wakefield.  My knowledge of the area and my ability to analyze market data mean that I do not have to limit your home search to one just one town.  Specializing in Boston Metro West means that I primarily work with high-end clients buying or selling luxury homes and investment properties.  However, all homes are important, as are all clients.
